September 20, 2022 - This Shiraz needed at least an hour in the decanter to open up. Deep aromatics of black plums, fermented soya bean, dark chocolate and toasted clove, cardamom and star anise. Palate is dry, clean and penetrating. Fruity elements are hidden behind the tight but polished structure for now. You get lots of graphite and spice coming through, with fresh acidity in the core. Almost full-bodied mid-palate. Seamless transition to a long and mineral finish with a touch of bitterness. Too young to drink now. Even with decanting, you are not getting the full potential. Need 3-5 more years of bottle aging for it to show its best. A wine that will age gracefully for at least 10 years. 92-94 pts
