  October 14, 2022 - This is my 5th tasting of the 2009 Flying Pig and the trend is not favorable. My last note stated that the nose was like a punch in the face. Very similar this time and I would say had gotten worse. I am well aware of the Cayuse funk, and that is the reason why I like them. But this was unbearable. The palate though does not match the nose and it is extremely tasty if you can get past the nose. I left this for about two days and revisited to a much more pleasant nose of sweet berries, mild coffee beans and tobacco. The taste was a little sweeter and overall a joy to drink. I made the mistake of saving a couple drops for a third day and it was a mess.
