Community Tasting Note

November 19, 2022 - Served blind to others; my bottle. Classic, well made young cab. Dark in color, flavor and character. Cassis, cigar box, caramel, graphite. A clay-like minerality. It was disappointing upon opening, but improved with 8 hours in the decanter. It could have used twice that or more, as it improved in a glass set aside for hours after the decant. Perhaps I'd have liked a little more acidity, but there was no denying its nobility. I have a little left in the bottle, and may visit again tomorrow.

11/20/22, 2:11 PM - Air is definitely this great wine's friend!

11/20/22, 3:55 PM - These bottles are always muted for the first few hours, before they start to unravel. At this stage, minimum 8 hours of air or it's not going to strut it's stuff.

11/21/22, 3:15 PM - Helpful note, thanks. Makes me think I should let my bottles keep sleeping . . . Zzzzzz

11/21/22, 4:21 PM - sf, I had one early but I'm letting my other bottle sit for a few more years! The '13 was drinking beautifully when I tasted there back in January. Cheers, pal!

11/21/22, 4:57 PM - Pretty sure that when I pop this I’m going to enjoy it more than the Myriad LPV I’m working on . . .
