  December 5, 2022 - I found this to be an enjoyable, but very rustic, bottle of Chianti. Having not had this producer before, I am not sure if it is just the style or if this is partly a consequence of the hot vintage. It also seems likely this would have been better consumed a bit earlier.
  
  The nose is highly aromatic with leather, brown spices, tomato, and a bit of dried dark fruit. It appears to be slightly oxidative and possibly coming from a not totally clean cellar or barrel. On the palate, the wine actually comes across a bit fresher and cleaner, but with a similar flavor profile of smoke, leather, spices, and dark fruit, while avoiding the hint of oxidation I get on the nose. The wine comes across as a bit aggressive with very high acidity, but medium to light in body with minimal tannin remaining.
