  November 3, 2014 - Terroir-istes International - France, Bordeaux 2005 Vintage (Rodwell House): Deep, dark, brooding bouquet there is smoke, meat, fresh earth, marmite and graphite on top of which show black fruits.
  An intense wine, full-bodied with firm tannins, oak spices and broad shoulders. This is a masculine wine that is solid and somewhat unyielding so it still needs time to resolve but is filled with blackcurrant, fruit pastels, pencil shavings and a blanket of dark chocolate. Dense, this powerful wine had girth, although felt a little ponderous. Complex, the wine improved with air.
