February 28, 2008 - Caroline Wine Shop - Pessac/Graves and South Africa Comparison (Carolines Wine Shop): 76%CS 24% Merlot; pH 3.4 and RS: 4.0!; Deep garnet to orange rim. A subtle nose with game, marmite and leather. Complex the palate refelct the nose with quite a lot of charcuterie joined by cigar notes, blackberries and light oak spices. Richness to the texture is supplemented by a lively acidity and a leaner palate shape. Warming finish there is that sweetness of South Africa and the New World. Showing nicely.
