  February 5, 2023 - Still a dark purple/red colour. A bit of a floral touch on the nose, but this is primarily about deep dark fruits - think blackcurrant and plums, maybe some dark berries too. Hints of eucalyptus but pretty restrained compared to some Coonawarra cabs. The depth of fruit and length of flavour are unquestionable. However, not a lot of tertiary development and a bit of stewed fruit coming through. Feels likes it’s just getting old rather than developing any real level of complexity.
  
  So overall a very nice wine but lacking the complexity for a higher score, and I’m honestly unsure about whether this wine would develop in a positive way in the future.
