The mouth feel is a bit gritty...with beautiful ripe black cherry, ash, roasted meat and mineral elements. A good long finish and nicely balanced. Went wonderfully with a Flat Iron Steak and roasted veggies. I wish I bought a lot more than 3 bottles of this. At $13.00 it plays like a $25+ bottle. One of those great wines that is not only delicious but intriguing too. Head and heart are served.
