September 5, 2023 - I was expecting an extracted, syrupy Syrah, but what I found was a balanced, medium bodied, elegant Syrah that stays true to its Northwen Rhone roots. While still on the young side, it opens up after a 1-2 hour decant.

9/11/23, 10:28 AM - That's great to hear. Curious as to why you expected an, "....extracted, syrupy Syrah..." Syrah does really well in WA State and, while there are some that are as you describe, I've found them to be the minority if you're not talking grocery store wines. Cheers.

9/11/23, 11:33 AM - Good point. Higher end Syrah like Cayuse, etc. certainly stay true to their N. Rhone roots. I guess I was thinking more of K Vintners type Syrah, which tend to be big jammy fruit bombs that can take the enamel off your teeth.
