June 21, 2024 - 2008 Champagne Run-throug; 6/21/2024-6/22/2024 (Bodø City): Here I wasn't quite aligned with the others around the table. Some rated this at 99 points, but I didn't have the same experience. Initially, it gave a somewhat tight impression. Green. Acidity, mushrooms, salt, hung meat, and something grassy. Others mention figs, nuts, and ripe fruit. On the palate, the wine has extreme length. I get some mature, almost fortified notes. Salt and mushrooms. After a while, I find it opens up a bit more, revealing crisp red apples and some berry fruit. As mentioned, the wine is long and has a refreshing acidic finish. I believe this will improve with further aging.

I just kept coming back to it yet unable to break through and thinking try again in a decade. Not sure if similar impression?
