October 13, 2009 - I'm very impressed with this wine. Just wish my favorite retailer can find some more for me. First tried this one at a blind tasting with other varietals and was immediately impressed. Purchased several bottles. Opened one tonight. Popped and poured. Very youthful wine. Slight strawberry flavors and almost a sweet-tart cherry flavor. Long, memorable finish. I'm not that experienced with California Pinots as I am with Oregon Pinots. This one was one of the best CA PN's I've had. Very elegant and enjoyable. Thumbs up from my wife (which is always worth an extra couple of rating points which I did not add to my 92 rating). My retailer had this for under $20/bottle. The winery shows same wine for approx $38. After tasting, I'd be willing to pay for the wine at the higher price. But, the amount I paid made this an outstanding QPR.
