  November 7, 2009 - A merlot based meritage with a touch of the "fith element": a few percent of Syrah. Color red with a brownish tinge and a distinct yellow hue to the rim, thus showing signs of age. The wine is showing really well now. Nose dominated by red and dark berries, plum sauce, chocolate, pencil shavings and pine needles. Palate is intense but well balanced. A wine with a distinct personality and Okanagan Valley "terroir". A great effort from the winery now known as "Road 13". Drink now and over the next 3 - maybe - 5 years.
