March 1, 2010 - I popped and poured this from 375 last night( I recommend a long decant though). Right off the bat, the nose was awesome showing sweet, dark fruits and some toasty notes. Over time, it developed prominent espresso and smoke aromas as well. The palate took more time to develop however. Initially it was light and the finish short but as this picked up weight, it became truly excellent. Smoke, dark fruits, and coffee were there along with big tannins and medium acidity. This wine has power yet grace. It was the best of my 05 Bordeaux QPRs so far. It's definitely a wine to be taken seriously in my opinion. ****
