  April 2, 2010 - A lovely every day drinker, and at 6.99 at trader joes, one of the best value wines I have encountered. On the nose are scents of raspberry liqueur and spice, which carry onto the palate with sweet strawberry fruit, white pepper, and hints of nuts. The freshness and purity for a wine at this price are something to behold. The only fault of the wine is a bit alcoholic --but not hot, on the finish, though this problem lessened with a bit of time in the glass. If the alcohol were to come into balance, this would merit another point, but I don't really see that happening. Otherwise this is a lovely wine for the price, and a seeming testiment to the greatness of the vintage. Very good; exceptional value.
