April 16, 2010 - Decided to open a half bottle to see how this was doing. At first, the nose was all earth and tobacco. After a bit of air, aromas of tart cherry and caramel appeared. This has high acidity that dominates the fruit at this point.I get sour cherries, minerals and tobacco on the palate. I popped and poured but probably should have decanted for a few hours.There is potential here as long as you aren't looking for a fruit bomb. A decent classically-styled Pomerol. ***
