May 11, 2010 - This bears little resemblance to any Italian version I've ever had. Closer to a gewurztraminer without the spice.....
On the nose, pear, some soft acids and a creamy sweet aroma. On the palate....rich, trending toward sweet. Somewhere between Kabinett and Spatlese to me re: sweetness. Lush mouthfeel kept lively by acidity and a sense of minerality. This is not a summer quaffer, but rather a serious wine that demands either big food or a roaring fire.2,889 views
