  September 4, 2010 - Medium ruby red colour with slight purplish rim. Decanted for on hour. Slightly subdued but fine aromas or red berry fruits, floral and caramel. Beautifully gentle initially on the palate but with plenty of ripe cherry and blackberry fruits. Slight bitterness in the mid palate which is not unpleasant. Overall very satisfying and classic Rosso di Montalcino.
