October 27, 2010 - The nose showed animal musk with sweet & sour black raspberry jam, dusty stone and hints of spice candy. The palate was intense with a silky yet vibrant core of fruit. It showed rich cherry, which turned cranberry with lively, zesty acidity and a fun red fruit and cocoa, mouth puckering, long finish. The bottle dazzled me with its amazing mouth feel and balance with 14.5% of nearly invisible alcohol. I feel Antonio scored this wine perfectly. Putting 95 points out there on a $35 bottle is risky to one's reputation but I believe it deserves each and every one of those points.
