The 87 reflects its current state: nice balance of acidity and rich mouthfeel and strong fruit ranging from blueberry, to plum, to blackberry, coupled with decent comlexity and finish. All of this was marred for me by a "greenness" that I find hard to describe (not bell pepper really, more artificial fruitiness) and find quite distasteful in young malbecs. This greenness faded over a two hour decant, however, and the result left me very optimistic about this one's ability to improve. I bought a case, which I won't touch for at least two years, and think this could approach the 90-92 range with time.
