November 25, 2010 - Drank on Thanksgiving at parents' house. Mom's glassware made it tough to get a good bead on the nose, but definitely hints of cherry, spice and flowers. Nicely balanced with good fruit, integrated tannins, and fresh acidity. Flavors come across with cherries, some blacker fruit, a spicy sandalwood, and milk chocolate. Clean finish rounds out the experience. For me, this is drinking pretty well, but will likely improve further over the medium term. Definitely more mature at this point than the non-Altero Brunello.
