Even after 4 hours it was quite harsh in terms of tannins and acidity - so much so, it was hard to discern the nose (definite heat on the nose) and the flavours, which were just overpowered by the tannins and acidity. After this experience, I've decided this wine will be an experiment in aging wine. I look forward to seeing if the extra year or two in the bottle will make it approachable. Right now, it is not approachable and anyone holding this should continue to hold it. My advice is be patient and keep it corked at least until 2012.
