  December 17, 2004 - Black color. Completely opaque at the core. Strong scents of blueberry, bramble berry and coffee. Incredibly dense and thick in texture with the most delightful flow across the palate in a smooth and sensuous motion. Excellent structure and definition, and most importantly of all - balance. Packing an impressive 15% vol. this wine is a monster, and I could feel the effect after a mere two gulps. However, the alcohol is wrapped in a soft glove of velvety fruit, layers of complexity and a wonderful interpretation - and sense of - style. With a 45 second aftertaste (without hotness) this wine is brilliant. Seriously brilliant.
