  December 22, 2004 - Bright golden in color. At first whiff candied citrus peel vaults from the glass. This is followed by ripe candied apricot, honey and slight pear. Wow. The acid is right in balance if not slightly on the low side. With a little time, these candied notes blow off to express a greater purity of fruit. Seamless. This is a rare treat. The spicy mouthfeel last for 20+ seconds and is mouthcoating. On the finish I find hints of mild vanilla, sweet biscuits and the slightest hint of smoke.
