  August 3, 2011 - Although not the knockout wine that I had hoped for, a very decent effort. Nice deep color and great nose. Good finish, especially for a California Merlot (Pahlmeyer excepted), but I felt that its midpalet was weak which affected my impressions of the wines complexity. Don't get me wrong, it's a good wine -- but is it worth the price? I think that you can do better...
