August 26, 2011 - Oz Clarke once said that the beauty of the new world is that they're not constrained by the old French rules of wine, they can mix Rhone varieties with Bordeaux and Burgundy grapes. However - this wine is anything but a beauty. Sauvignon Blanc & Chardonnay with Muscat, Viognier and Semillon all combine for this blend. Thick golden color, HUGE fruit on the nose, peaches and cream, that continue onto the palate. This was like drinking unfermented grape juice - all sweetness and no acidity. Yuck. If you like your whites in the desert or overly sweet Riesling range maybe you'll enjoy this.
