  September 9, 2010 - Domaine Leroy Cellar Visit and Tasting (Vosne-Romanee): Barrel tasting at Domaine Leroy. Aromas started with great floral and perfumed charm along with big red fruit. Palate is very spice driven with great black and red fruit. Incredible density, powerful fruit with an exceptional finish. Always a personal favorite, this 2009 jumps near the top of my list of great vintages of Leroy V-R Beaux Monts, with 98, 99 and 93.

  8/18/13, 12:35 PM - Burgundy Al, always been impressed with your notes on Leroy Beaux Monts and splurged on a couple bottle of this. Would you recommend the 2001? Have you tasted either the 2010 or 2011 out of barrel? Thanks!

  8/18/13, 12:49 PM - Xavier94 - I don't recall ever having the Leroy 2001 Beaux Monts, sorry. And I have only been fortunate enough to visit the domaine one time, in 2010, when I tasted the 2009s.
