  September 30, 2011 - Drinking perfectly. On the downward slope, but a few years left; just what I like. Clear, garnet color, with medium-plus intensity. Subtle nose with black fruits, including black currant. Aroma also includes tobacco, nutmeg, and other baking spices; very little wood or earth otherwise. Clearly new world. Palate is medium-bodied, low acid, with soft and well-integrated tannins. Flavor characteristics match the aroma, plus cassis and black cherry. Medium-plus length. Drink up!
