  November 15, 2011 - After experiencing a very lightly corked bottle, I decided to open my lone remaining '98 Montelena. Scintillating ruby color; rich, fragrant, and complex. Slightly sweet red cherry fruit; pencil lead, fresh herbs, eucalyptus, and a hint of mint. Nicely balanced. Long finish. Classically old-school Napa Cab that should continue to age gracefully.
