December 16, 2011 - Decanted two hours and followed over another three hours. Needed all that time and more. Clearly new world cab on the nose with dark fruits and toasty oak. Even after a couple hours in the decanter this is would tight but shows blackberries and a heavy dose of vanilla. Has a nice smoky, peppery finish that goes on and on. Enjoyeable if you like a wine that packs some punch. I'd recommend holding for another two years at least then drinking over the next 5+ years.
