  January 13, 2012 - 2 hr. double decant with another hour in the open bottle. Consumed over one hour. The nose of old world barnyard earthiness just burst out of the glass, with secondary notes of ripe cherries. Interesting taste of dark fruit and leather, with a little drop-off in the middle. The finish just roared back and lingered for 30 sec. Still on the rise, but tannins are well integrated. Drinking window is open for another ten years minimum. Very enjoyable.
