January 30, 2012 - Popped and poured and consumed over 3 days. It is at its best on day 3 in my opinion. Began to soften and really open up with aromas of kirsch, flowers, plums, and some dried herbs. It is very bright and has a good amount of tannin, but very focused so I think this has the makeup to really improve over time. The 2010 is a bit different than the 2009, as it has a bit more structure, acid, and minerality in the mouth and is not quite as lush and giving so young. If opening anytime soon, I would advise in a nice decant and serving at a temperature closer to the cellar than room.
