March 1, 2012 - PnP, paired with a Tuscan Salmon dish. I'd had this one in the wine fridge for some time now, so figured it was time to pop it. The nose shows strong notes of grass & citrus, with a touch of honey behind it. Some may love this, but I didn't really find a whole lot to make this standout from other (less expensive Cali Sav Blancs). Lots of tart citrus flavors on the palate, bordering on one-dimensional, though some stone fruit helps prevent that. Fairly light in body, but with a lengthy finish. The wife loved it, I'd rather spend $25 on a great Kiwi Sav Blanc.
