March 9, 2012 - Nat cork. A dull color merging elements of red, purple, and brown. Nose is pretty with an interesting almost burnt note complimenting floral and an almost soapy, but not unpleasant note. Also oddly a distinct tinge of watermelon. Full bodied and tasty, an earthy and woodsy note quickly dominates some vague red fruit flavors of rhubarb and strawberry. This bottle had more tannin than i recalled but still silky. A tasty wine and going strong but well into its secondary characteristics and prob for drinking in the relative short-term.
