  March 10, 2012 - Vertical tasting of 94, 98 through to 05. Rich purple/red. Decanted 3 hours but the full, fruity and oaky nose, with a hint of tobacco, was there immediately, and lasted. A rich and fruity palate typical of 2003, but good tannins and sufficient acidity to give character and balance. Good length. Very different to and not as complex as the 00 and 01, which are also drinking now.
