  March 9, 2012 - This rates as an outstanding syrah that is currently full of youthful exuberance. A clear, deep ruby wine with a clean nose of medium intensity. Wonderfully complex notes of mixed peppercorns, warm cherry pie, dates, and black plums. Excellent balance on the palate between the medium-plus acidity and tannins and a full body. The nose follows through on the palate along with liquorice, root beer, and fatty meats. The finish is long and coats the mouth and teeth. This rates as an outstanding wine that is certain to develop in the cellar for the next 6-8 years.
