March 29, 2012 - Clear pale gold with a nose of medium intensity, this is a chardonnay begging for food to accompany it. Aromas of white peaches, pears, ginger, dried lemon skins, vanilla bean, and a cool minerality meld together well. A clean, dry chardonnay with a medium body and a relatively high acidity. The ginger, pears, and white peaches also carry on through the palate along with pleasant oak-induced qualities of toasted vanilla and finishing with a nice chalkiness and citrus notes. The finish is medium-plus. I had wild caught salmon with this wine and this helped cut down the acid and brought the flavors to the forefront. This is a very good wine and usually found at a reasonable price.
