April 24, 2012 - First night popped and poured. Good nose of red fruits, smoke, and everything I'd expect of an Oregon Pinot. Wicked acids overpower everything leaving a pretty puckering experience in it's wake. Had I stopped here would have rated lower.
Vacuum sucked the bottle and stuck it on the counter.
Night two: Wine a little warmer and certainly a little more open.
Nose of strawberries, hay, smoke, and loam.
Attack of strawberries, raspberry, and green grass. Mid palate smoothed out tremendously flowing into a nice lingering finish. Acids much better balanced this evening and overall a much better experience.
I'd recommend decanting for an hour or so before serving this.3,158 views
