  July 14, 2012 - Very ripe dark red and black fruits dominate the deep and powerful nose; still incredibly primary. In the mouth, hints of woodspice and tobacco. still searingly tannic (and rustically so), which does clip the finish a touch. I am not sure that is going to improve with time - while there is clearly incredible stuffing beneath, the tannins are already drying out the finish. am interested to see how this performs on night 2.
