  August 29, 2012 - Clearly one of the better Doisy Védrines of recent decades, but not dethroning other examples since 2000. Interesting complex of flavors of vanilla, spice, and pear. Not one of the most elegant wines of this vintage, as it falls apart a bit on the finish and leaves a slight harsh note, but very nice nonetheless for an inexpensive young Sauternes.
