September 26, 2012 - This wine is very dark in the center and moves gradually towards a deep Bordeaux red.

It carries an aroma of juicy red fruits and plums with toasty, tobacco-like notes.

With a medium body and (too) thin texture, this wine did not fit the mold of a typical Jumilla. The most interesting element on the palate was definitely the moderate tannins that created a bitter tobacco flavor. Its balance was slightly upset by an acidity that is a bit too high for the body and texture.

The wine finishes medium and pleasantly bitter, and as such, demands food that also carries charred or bitter flavors. Anything with any sweetness will make this wine difficult to enjoy.
