  December 31, 2012 - took a few hours to really shine, but when it did....whoa! while i'm not a typical drinker of the s. rhone, this is utterly profound! immense complexity of soil, minerals, dark fruit, herbs, and grilled meats. seamless in the mouth. ripe, but never pruney or hot. nice dose of acid that is almost in complete contradiction to the level of ripeness to the fruit. great intensity and richness on the palate. finishes with dark fruits and dirt. very happy to have another bottle resting.
