  January 19, 2013 - First you smell tobacco and botte grande, then a fruity mix of cherries and some mashed strawberries. Suddenly there's a slightly annoying scent from kind of synthetic fruit ester. Still a very good wine with finesse. Like a mix of 50% barbera, 25% nebbiolo and 25% sangiovese without oak. Soft and a little dumb in the middle but good length, nice acidity and restrained powder tannin.
