Jhcwine Does not like this wine: 70 points
January 26, 2013 - On openning - heat, tannic, not much fruit at all. Did not have time for decant. Not much change, in glass. May have been an inferior batch or bottle, as I have enjoyed other Chimney Rocks. But not a "bad" or "off" bottle (aka corked, excess bret, etc.). Sorry, Chimney Rock. Just telling it like it is.

1/26/13, 1:13 PM - Harsh review for a wine that has 90+ CellarTracker, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator ratings. Flawed bottle possibly?

1/26/13, 6:05 PM - No, just middling wine with excess tannin. Bad batch perhaps. But not drinkable. Sorry, plonk is plonk.

1/28/13, 2:56 PM - I have to agree with Jwolfer. To say you don't like the style of wine and grade it accordingly is one thing; to harshly denigrate it as middling plonk is another. Maybe a bad batch or a bad bottle. Not proselytizing, just chiming in on the debate.
