  February 1, 2013 - - Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of black currant. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black currant, blackberry and cherry with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a medium finish - Have had a few bottles in the cellar for a number of years. Based on some earlier reviews, I decided to give them a little more time in the bottle. Disregard the drinking window displayed. Here we are, three years after the "community recommended" drinking window, and the wine is showing beautifully. Popped and poured first night (gave it 30 or so minutes of air in the glass). Classic Italian nose, aromas of beautiful berry fruit and long, skinny legs with a few swirls of the glass. Not harsh or hot at all as some earlier reviews suggested. Showing very well. The wife and I finished the bottle on night two. It had really come alive at this point. Very good super Tuscan with lots of sediment towards the end. Would recommend filtering the bottom part of the bottle to avoid the grittiness you will get with a mouthful of the sediment. Overall, very pleased with the quality/price.
