  April 3, 2013 - a behemoth of a pinot with outstanding balance and flavor. medium color with a nose of darker red fruits and vanilla and spice. on the palate: no spritz here. a serious pinot. nice attack of red fruit wrapped in vanilla. big structure and coats the palate - a good thing. nice grip. heat is there but not overpowering - just a how do you do hello. could have kept this on my palate for a long time - love the expansiveness of this wine. the finish is long and here is found a little more of the heat that sneaks up on you and brings some imbalance.
