April 10, 2013 - Really liked the nose on this one. Smoky, gentle wood, lemon and lime with a touch of peach. Maybe a hint of sulfur as well. The palate is enjoyable as well but the lactic component bothers me. I would have liked to see more tension and energy, especially for the vintage (not that it is flabby by any means). Also maybe a tad more substance on the mid-palate. Nevertheless a good St Aubin.

4/11/13, 9:30 AM - not really sure but I have never felt that any wines from that appellation have tension, due to what i perceived to be a higher clay content.
