April 17, 2013 - One of the prettiest corks I have ever seen, crystallized sugars coated the bottom of the cork. One of the darkest wines, yet it isn't thick or over the top. Wonderful change of pace and a great QPR.

4/17/13, 12:59 PM - I had a bottle this past Sunday and thought the same thing when I had popped the cork. I was not expecting that at all, but was a pleasent surprise.

4/17/13, 1:03 PM - I only have 1 bottle left and I think the Charbono is becoming a must have in the cellar. Nice change of pace and price point.

4/17/13, 1:10 PM - Agreed, I too am down to my last bottle of 2009. Thankfully I have a few of 2009 and 2010 Griffins to keep my occupied. Robert Foley is doing a pretty great job across the board so far from what I've tasted. Have yet to shell out the extra cash for the Claret yet though.

As for the wine I would say that the Merlot is also wonderful. You can get the Claret at hdh wine, for a pretty good $. I think the '04(which is great) is @ $85-90.

4/17/13, 1:36 PM - Thanks for the feedback, I was saved by the 30 minute edit window. Thanks also for the info on the Merlot and Claret. I have generally been limited to dealing directly with a wine shop near my home as I am generally not home to sign for online shipments, but after seeing some of the selection and pricing on hdh I might give it another shot.
