May 18, 2013 - This is incredibly good now, but will be an absolute stunner in 5 - 15 years. Gave it a 3 hour decant. The bouquet alone was worth the price of admission....on the palate this is Sangiovese at its best, and it is evident that this is a wine made by a real artisan. Medium to full bodied, yet absolutely silky mouthfeel, with impeccable balance between the red fruit and the earth components. Excellent length. Tannins are definately there but quite well integrated, and lend wonderful structure. A hauntingly beautiful wine that is just emerging into its drinking window...a monument to Tuscany.
