  July 23, 2013 - Decanted for about 30-45 minutes a priori.
  
  Dark red color. No appreciable discoloration around the edges. Holding up well.
  
  Nose dominated by dark fruits and tobacco. Notes of leather and earth decorate the background.
  
  Dark fruits echoed on a juicy attack with some vanilla. Moves on into a smooth mid-palate adding some nice earth notes as the fruit dies off the attack.
  
  Really nice oak and tannin into the finish. More subtle and not over powering. Just a hair on the sweet side.
  
  Really enjoyed this bottle over grilled beef tips. Super yummy and in prime drinking range now. I'd say it will easily hold up another 3-4 years properly cellared.
