  September 9, 2013 - Nice deep red color. Fragrant nose of a touch of tar, roses and some volatile acids. Great up front acidity, dark fruit which is a bit masked by the strong, firm and somewhat bitter tannins. But it is really seamless and well structured. This appears to be what some "old school" barolo was like: firm, structured and in need of time. Will hold this one until 2025 so I can see what it tastes like on its 20th birtday
